The very first house our soul occupies at birth is our body. Before words, before abstract thought, before any social relationship — there is the flesh. This body is not a vehicle we use. It is our first inalienable dwelling, our original property, the only space no one can ever take from us.
Moving through the energy of House 2 means undertaking the work of bodily habitation — what contemporary somatic psychology calls embodiment. It is pacifying our relationship with our own biology, honoring our sensory receptors, and ceasing to regard the body as a problem to solve or an appearance to manage.
This body is my sacred dwelling. I am its sole rightful owner, and it is only through it that I can truly feel what it means to be alive.
For anyone moving through a deep identity transition, claiming House 2 represents a fundamental act of sovereignty. Jungian psychology would speak here of a reconciliation with the body as a symbol of the Shadow: everything we have repressed about our physical existence seeks to be integrated, welcomed, made conscious.

The second house we inhabit is our mind. Not the brain as a biological organ — that still belongs to the Body — but the psyche in its Jungian sense: the inner space where thoughts, archetypes, desires, fears, and visions play out. The mind is a permanent theatre.
In House 5, the mind allows itself to play every role without identifying with any. This is where the Jungian Animus and Anima reside — those inner polarities that, when repressed, become complexes, and when integrated, become creative forces.

This is what the Stoic tradition called living in accordance with nature — not as resignation, but as a sovereign affirmation of what we are: beings at once individual and cosmic, temporal and cyclical, intimate and universal.

Ces trois apprentissages forment, ensemble, ce que l'on pourrait nommer une écologie de l'être — un rapport juste et digne à soi, à son intériorité, et au vivant qui nous porte.
L'homme qui a pacifié ses trois demeures ne cherche plus la liberté. Il la vit, depuis l'intérieur.

We live in a time of dissolving boundaries — between genders, between disciplines, between interior and exterior. The ecological, identity, and psychological crises that define our historical moment are not anomalies: they are expressions of the collective House 8 at work. The great metamorphosis is already underway.
In this context, the return to the Body-Mind-Earth trinity is not a niche spiritual exercise. It is a philosophy of survival and dignity. Learning to inhabit one's body with sovereignty (House 2) in a world that sells the image of the perfect body. Learning to liberate one's mind from mental conformism (House 5) in a world that commodifies attention. Learning to feel that one belongs to the Earth (House 8) in a world that has industrialized disconnection.
These three learnings form, together, what one might call an ecology of being — a just and dignified relationship with oneself, with one's interiority, and with the living world that holds us.
The one who has made peace with their three dwellings no longer seeks freedom. They live it, from within.
